Changes Suck at La Cue
because i'm such a hard working person, i get the absolute satisfaction when i get a day off. and because i'm such a hard working person, i was given the privilege to a 4-day-weekend. therefore, my friends, today is my friday. and because i knew that today was my last working day of the week, the girls and i decided to pay a visit to our second home last night ... LA CUE. it has been a while since we went there, months i think. and we were surprised of the changes.
1) the pool hall now has a live dj. no more 3 songs for a dollar jukebox that played music that we want to listen to. it is now up to the dj to liven things up.
2) the pool hall has disco lights. errr. the place is not even dim enough to turn on the disco lights. whatta corn ball.
3) they don't serve iced moccachino, yet it is written on the menu. they are supposedly "TOO BUSY" to make it.
4) way too many youngins' on a weekday. some of them look like they were only 13 and when the waitress was walking around with 2 for $5 jello shots, she didn't care to id anyone.
5) ashtrays are not handed out until 10pm. we used to enjoy playing pool with a cigarrete in our hand at 9:00 PM SHARP.
6) ladies night wednesdays is actually GUYS NIGHT. ladies play for free but tables are subject to availability.
7) ladies play all day, all night on mondays and wednesdays - but they actually meant maximum 1 hour of playtime ONLY. false advertising hmmphh.
whatever. the girls and i still managed to have a good time despite the disappointment at LA CUE.
