Dot Mac experience

Since Beb got me the imac for my christmas / anniversary present, i reasoned with him why i should get a dot mac along with it. After weeks of prying and not leaving him alone, he got it for me.

It was pretty awesome at first... exciting, convenient, and i very much like the idea of having a @mac.com email address. that alone was a selling point for me to buy dot mac for $99/year. the boyfriend wasn't too keen with the idea of paying for this type of service for $99 since i already have my own website plus hosting that i'm paying for annually. anyway, he was able to get me dotmac for a year ... for free. can't complain about that.

as soon as my dot mac was activated, i created a weblog through iweb. i liked the idea of not having to worry about the layout of my blog because mac themes are built in. one thing i hate about iweb is not having access to it anywhere but my iweb at home. i literally have to be home and edit it or create an entry through iweb only. errr. the horror that pains me.

dot mac has other services of course besides iweb. it's got a group page like those of google groups and yahoo groups that you can create and share to people. you can post messages, calendar entries, share pictures.. without any annoying ads embedded. i wanted to use this but couldn't really find the reason to. no one wants to share anything with me. hay nako.

my @mac.com inbox is empty. i really like my @mac.com email address, but no one sends me an email there.

it's been 4 months now since i've had my dotmac account and it seems like it's not doing me any good.
