The Search for Asura

Last week, pc gamer magazine made guild wars the main story of its May 2007 issue. In it is an activation key for a super duper cute mini pet Asura. A mini pet in guildwars does nothing except follow you around and look cute.. which is a good enough reason for me to have one. besides they were selling for 40-60k (guildwars money) before the magazine was out on news stands.

2 weekends ago, before the magazine's launched date, some random person had tipped us to go to a local grocery and pick up the magazine for $6 (real money) instead of spending 60k (fake money) for it. So beb & i went on a few hour search for Asura. it was quite sad really.. because we were pretty serious with the search .. we drove around and went to walmart, target, micro center, best buy, and a local grocery store... and left each store empty handed. it's either they don't carry the magazine or it was the wrong issue that's left. ahuhuhu. i decided to let go of the hope of finding it and just wait until the magazine launches to the public... and waiting for something that you want can prove to be freaking LONGGGG.

last week, when it was raining hard, i abandoned my work for 30 minutes during the height of a very important phone call and issue .... because at that moment i realized that there's a big news stand in grand central.. and i had to take the chance and see if they had pc gamer there. it was raining so hard that my umbrella didn't serve it's purpose. i soaked on my 1-block journey to grand central... but seeing the magazine was worth all the trouble.
