Birth Videos
Last night, I was indulging myself with Youtube videos of vaginal birth and c-section delivery. I'm not quite sure which one hurt more because they both look painful. The video below is much more subtle than the ones I've watched. It was quite traumatizing to see our private part expand so wide to fit a baby's head and body.
You can search for the videos yourself and type in Vaginal Birth if you want to see detailed videos. It was scary to look at and nerve-wrecking to know that in a few months time, I would have to go through one of those procedures.
Eckkk.
And because I may have been traumatized, I dreamt about giving vaginal birth last night. I remember it was over in a few minutes and i didn't have to push so hard for the baby to come out. The joy of hearing the baby's cry was amazingly priceless. The moment he was handed over to me, I was overwhelmed with ecstasy. The nurses took the baby away and the next time I saw him, probably a few hours later, they sent me a baby who was almost a year old. The baby was practically walking on his own. I was in shock and furious of the mistake. The staff promised me that he was my baby.. and they're just as surprised as I am. Apparently, he was growing fast. Kind of similar to the Benjamin Button story.
Then I woke up. These dreams are getting so graphic and weirder by the day.
Maybe I should lay low on watching birth videos until my third semester. I really shouldn't be worrying about that now. I should just enjoy my second semester.. without the morning sickness, tiredness, back pains, and hunger pangs.
