Pregnancy Insecurities

We spent my hubs birthday dining out and basically pigging out. We stuffed our faces with so much food, we could hardly breathe after. LOL.  Anyway, to help bring the food down, we decided to walk around Babies R' Us... you know, just to check out baby stuff.  Actually, it was my idea to go to Babies R' Us. I don't think the hubs would even think about going there if I hadn't mentioned it.

So we went and I ended up registering for my baby shower stuff. It was so cool. We got to walk around the entire store with a scanner gun and just scanned away. I felt so comfortable in the store with all the pregnant women around.  That was one of the things the hubs asked me.. "Do you feel at home here?" and without hesitation, i excitedly said "Yes!" LOL.  It was a different feeling being around these women. I felt like I belonged.

In my new school, I haven't yet seen a pregnant woman walk around the campus.  I didn't have that insecurity at my old school.  There was always a pregnant woman in sight... taking classes, or walking around the school campus.  In this new school, I'm surrounded with young people.  There are older people there as well but none of them are pregnant.  It gets me a little bit insecure.. and out of place. I don't know why. I mean I'm old enough... I'm married.  I shouldn't feel this way.  Urgh, maybe it's the pregnancy hormones that's getting me all emotional and worried.

Another issue I have with the new school is the chair-slash-desk-in-one (like the one below) because it's starting to get tight around my belly. It's definitely not made for a pregnant woman.  I barely have room to move around in these things.  And my belly's getting bigger and bigger and bigger by the week.

I still fit in them. For now.

  1. i remember those days of picking out baby stuff at babies r us. that was fun. my son was born already at the time, but it sure was exciting to pick out his toys.

hehe... it sure is nice seeing other pregnant women while you're pregnant. even though you don't really know them, there's an instant connection. it's kinda like babies meeting each other for the first time. they feel an instant connection too. :)

hmm... tutorials. i'd love to do them. maybe when my camera (my phone one is all i'm using) is having a good day, i'll do one. i'm still learning too after all. hehe... but i'll share what i've learned so far. :)

glad you guys had fun on your hubby's bday. dining out is always fun. :D
